Beautiful and talented, Patricia van Essche was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended the University of Cincinnati’s acclaimed College of Design, Architecture and Art, where she received a BS in Fashion Design and was awarded the school’s coveted “Golden Brush” award. For 15 years she worked in New York City as a designer and design director for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Liz Claiborne. Make sure to give pve design a visit, you'll be so glad you did!
Wow, what a talented woman! We had a watercolor artist paint a picture of my parents' first home for their anniversary, and it was a lovely gift!
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful and I love it!!!

Hi Layla, I just wanted to let you know of a pretty shade of ivory I found. It's called "ceylon ivory" by pratt and lambert. Here's a picture of it in my living room: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3040/2466499360_9de562b3ca.jpg
ReplyDeleteOkay I just realized that was a terrible color of the paint picture I sent you, here's a better one: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1397/872794592_e1a2a31739.jpg It's a very neutral, warm ivory, and Pratt and Lambert paint is great quality, try it out! I have the color through most of my house.
ReplyDeleteI love PVE's illustrations. Her blog and website are stunning.
ReplyDeleteI sooooooo want to do this for our home when we finally finish our landscaping. BTW, I love 1/2 Note cottage!!
ReplyDeleteLayla,
ReplyDeleteI am grinning from ear to ear. This is what I love most about blogging! The warmth and mutual admiration that flows across the page from one really, really nice gal to another. This is a perfect example of Patricia's talent and graciousness. And you my dear are so deserving. Patricia knows it and so do I!
Half Note Cottage is already a very special home because of it's new owner and because of your support and guidance along the way.
Thanks for a wonderful story.
Lisa
What a great rendering!!
