Quote Jars!

Today, I'm happy to introduce the latest Lettered Cottage creation, the "Quote Jar".
Like our "Good Jars", each Quote Jar is filled with 365 of my favorite quotes of all time.
I'm talkin', read-one-and-it-will-change-your-day-kinda-quotes. :-)
The slips are nestled inside of a glass, wire-bale jar, that is simply divine on its own.
I keep one in my Guest Room, for visitors to enjoy.
I also keep one on the window sill, near my bed, so that I can start each day in a more inspired way.
Each time I loosen the wire clasp, and draw a slip from my jar, I make a very conscious effort to remember that this is a new day, and I feel so blessed within this moment. Don't forget to find some stillness, and create moments for yourself filled with value and meaning. They're so important!
For me, these special "twinklings" create clarity, which in turn, creates the opportunity for new and wonderful ways for me to express the joy that lives within me.
And today, that joy is expressed through my Quote Jar.

Here are some examples of what you'll find inside:

"A good laugh is like sunshine in the house" - William Makepeace Thackeray

"Happiness: To be dissolved into something complete & great" - Willa Cather

"Work is love made visible" - Kahlil Gilbran

"Rise above the storm and you will find sunshine" - Mario Fernandez

"Believe in yourself, and the rest will fall into place" - Brad Henry

"Minds are like parachutes. They only function when open" - Thomas Dewar

"A smile is a curve that sets everything straight" - Phyllis Diller

"A problem divided by you equals change" - Kevin Lee Palmer (my hubby!)

Each jar measures 4.5" tall.
Cost is $15.99, plus shipping and handling, and y
ou will receive your jar within 2-3 weeks.

*Edited 12/20/2009 - Due to our demanding design consulation and renovation schedule, we are no longer able to make and sell our Quote Jars.

  14. Layla, I wanted to tell you that I bought a hand held steamer (iron alternative) from bed bath and beyond for 14.99 and you can iron drapes or clothes without taking it down. I thought I'd mention it cause you brought up that you still needed to iron your curtains. I cringed for you, cause I hate to iron. This steamer is one of the best purchases I've made (with the exception of my p-touch labeler which I love so much I could lick it. haha) Any way. Hope it helps.

  27. I LOVE your Quote Jars! I worked at an area high school for 21 yrs. and decided to retire and the high school girls bought these 3 darling jars matching in 3 different sizes and each one of them put their thoughts of me in them! I was instructed to draw just one out each day to read ;) So your sweet jars made me think of this♥ I saw someone else comment how do you buy 2 jars at once, because I believe I'd like to order 2? Beautiful blog!!!
