A $10 TV stand, primed and painted white, then lightly distressed...
Bedding that she's had in a storage box, for over a year...
An itty bitty lamp, cute as can be...
A $15, cottage-style coffee table from the Salvation Army...
Which now, looks like this, after sanding down the top, and applying some Provencial-colored stain (from Lowes) to the top. The legs got a coat of white paint, and some distressing...
She also purchased two Pottery Barn striped pillow covers on Ebay for just $19. They were delivered with the original price tags still on them...they sold in stores for $33 EACH! Boy did she score! The couch came from the Salvation Army for $20. The creamy-white slipcover used to be mine. The throw pillow inserts that came with the sofa just happened to fit perfectly inside her new Pottery Barn pillow covers, which was great. She also picked up two $5 navy blue throw pillows from Walmart...
You definitely have a flair for design on budget!!

Anyway, they would look great in there if she needs them!

ReplyDeleteThe coffee table.... LOVE it. We have the same one (a hand me down from my fiance's parents) that I absolutely despise and we constantly argue over because I want to get rid of it and he wants to keep it for sentimental value. Now we have a solution :) Thanks for the inspiration!
