I've never commented (though I've been visiting your blog for months!)... this quote stopped me in my tracks. Thank you for sharing it and have a GREAT weekend.
Somewhere, I have a laminated card of that quote, which was given out by a bank in Wisconsin. The card attributes it to someone other than Plato, but I can't remember who it is. Interesting. : )
Very nice. A niece of mine was being hard on herself today. Said some such thing as, "I can't do anything right.". I told her that she'd feel better if she would "be more kind" to herself. Now, to remember that for my own self!
Love it and I totally agree! If only everyone could keep this in mind when dealing with one another, the world would be a better place. Thanks Layla!

My grandmother instilled kindness is us. She was always saying "be kind, be kind" while she clapped her hands...

Perfection.
ReplyDeleteI am going to paint this quote for my daughter's new room in her off-campus digs. This will be a reminder when she's wornout from college.
