  3. Oh my we don't eat fast food much anymore so that first part made me a little sick. LOL!

How fun, a parade! I used to be in lots of parades in Drill Teams as a dancer and also as a baton twirler. Miss those day. Here's an odd question for you. Do they throw candy to you from the floats in your parades in the South? I have a friend in Austin who had never heard of that. It is pretty standard for us Chicagoans!

We went over to my in-laws for potluck/grilling and fireworks which are set off in a park near their home. So we could see them from their back yard!

  6. So much fun! I love your accents! I'm originally from the South but I've lost a lot of my accent over the years. :( Really enjoyed watching the parade with you......Phoenix is so huge now we never see anything like that! Loved it.

  11. Loved watching the video here in the U.K. giving me an insight into your parade and celebrations. I particularly liked the slow up and down shot of the girl in black pants and white vest . I think that your other half was probably filming that bit !!!! Oh sorry. Hope I haven't caused an argument ! XXXX

  12. I have to agree with Pat's comment. Chick-Fil-A is awesome and their chicken biscuit is the best fast food breakfast in the world. I never thought to add cheese, though. Oh my gosh, that would make it even better.

And, what could be better than a small town parade on the 4th of July? Hardly anything.

Thanks for sharing your fun 4th.

  13. Hi Jacqueline!

Glad you enjoyed the video. I was actually filming the guy dressed up like Michael Jackson in the shot your referring to. I didn't even notice that lady til just now. She would make a good Cher.

  15. Hi Layla,
This is the first time I have left a comment even though I've been following your beautiful blog for several weeks now (being a novice/new to the world of computers) its just amazing what like-minded people are out there and they all seem so nice. Love the work you do and I love the transformations you do, obviously a natural!!! Can't wait to see what you do with the bench and I can't imagine finding such a great piece of furniture on the roadside around here. Glad to hear you had a happy 4th July. Our big day here is Australia Day 26th January each year. Sure makes you patriotic doesn't it? Hope you have a wonderful day.
    Take Care
