Gifts from Eddie and our "Wish" Winner

So I toooootally forgot to show photos of the gifts Eddie, Jaithan and Larson Juhl sent us home with in my last post!
Duh!

We got a great canvas replica of a work of art that's displayed at the Biltmore Estate...

And two old book pages that came from a book printed in the 1800's...

Aren't they great?
I can't wait to get them all framed and hung up here at TLC!
They will be great reminders of our fun trip to the framing party.

And now, for the giveaway winner announcement!

The winner of the "Wish" is......drumroll.....

Kim from 3 Peanuts!

Congratulations Kim!

  4. This is a great reminder of what terrific wall hangings you can get from old books. It inspires me to stop by Half Price Books today and see what I can find.

  5. Layla.
I think those "parting" gifts are amazing and I can't wait to see where you put the chair print.
You will find just the perfect place.

I loved reading about your trip. You and Kevin looked like you had a fun time.
After reading how much you enjoyed Mary Kay Andrew's The Fixer Upper I read it and loved it. I have now almost read all of her books.
I think my fav so far was Savannah Breeze. Thank you for writing about the author.
    Have a restful Sunday. geri.

  16. love your blog- here's a little tip- not sure if you've used this one- when placing a ceiling (drywall, beadboard, etc.) use a 2x4 that is cut to your ceiling height, attach another 2x4 horizontally across one end to form a T-shape. wedge the top of the T up against the ceiling material and voila! it'll hold things- or at least help hold it until you can attach it:) hope this helps! i've had back surgery and we're finishing the ceiling in our basement and it came in handy when holding heavy drywall up on the ceiling:)
