Don't have a headboard yet? Not to worry- My ideabook also contains links to some great tutorials that will teach you how to build one!
My bedroom is, for some strange reason, the hardest room for me to decorate. I bought a bunch of fabric to make pillow cases, duvet, curtains etc...but now I'm changing my mind, again. I don't know why I can't commit in there. I know, for sure, that I love ticking though, and your guest bedroom is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteYour timing couldn't be more perfect. I'm looking for something really unique and unusual for my guest bedroom. Okay, off to go get inspired..

Layla, I'm excited to see that you chose my bedroom as one of the pictures for this post!
ReplyDeleteI just finished making a headboard out of old closet doors and a salvaged bench. I'll be using it in my bedroom in my
new house. I hope to have the room completed in the next few weeks.
I am in love ith this Idea!!!! Thank you so much for it!
ReplyDeleteWould also LOVE your support on the ELLE DECOR window I did for the Big Window Challenge this year with Apartment Therapy. Check it out at http://www.bigwindowchallenge com. As we all know, AT doesn’t make it easy, but you can vote TWICE a day, once online and the other by texting “1” to 89800.
Your support means the world to me!!

The headboard in our flat is a mantle-piece, so it is decorated like one. we have pictures and candle sticks on it.
ReplyDeleteOh yeay, I love your Houzz tutorials! This one makes me want to take a chainsaw to my bed so that I no longer have a headboard and therefore the need to build a new one :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! I was lucky enough to find a beautiful padded headboard by dumpster diving at World Market. Not very glamorous work, but it's an amazing $400 find for free!
ReplyDeleteHi, Layla. I've been following your blog for a while now. Probably since I first learned what a blog even was. I rarely post comments (why? I don't know. Maybe i'm shy) ;-), but i had to stop by to tell you how pleasantly surprised and excited I was to see my bedroom featured in this post. Thanks so much for choosing it. Aren't those plates great? (Some @ RMS don't think so.) ;-| I was so fortunate to have won this makeover from the most talented and stylish designer in Bucks County, PA. I'm sure she'll be thrilled, too - to see her work featured here. I definitely have to send her your link. Thank you so much again.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. Keep up work!
Best,
Suzanne
