  1. My bedroom is, for some strange reason, the hardest room for me to decorate. I bought a bunch of fabric to make pillow cases, duvet, curtains etc...but now I'm changing my mind, again. I don't know why I can't commit in there. I know, for sure, that I love ticking though, and your guest bedroom is one of my favorites!

  3. Layla, I'm excited to see that you chose my bedroom as one of the pictures for this post!

I just finished making a headboard out of old closet doors and a salvaged bench. I'll be using it in my bedroom in my
new house. I hope to have the room completed in the next few weeks.

  6. The headboard in our flat is a mantle-piece, so it is decorated like one. we have pictures and candle sticks on it.

  7. Oh yeay, I love your Houzz tutorials! This one makes me want to take a chainsaw to my bed so that I no longer have a headboard and therefore the need to build a new one :)

  8. I love it! I was lucky enough to find a beautiful padded headboard by dumpster diving at World Market. Not very glamorous work, but it's an amazing $400 find for free!

  9. Hi, Layla. I've been following your blog for a while now. Probably since I first learned what a blog even was. I rarely post comments (why? I don't know. Maybe i'm shy) ;-), but i had to stop by to tell you how pleasantly surprised and excited I was to see my bedroom featured in this post. Thanks so much for choosing it. Aren't those plates great? (Some @ RMS don't think so.) ;-| I was so fortunate to have won this makeover from the most talented and stylish designer in Bucks County, PA. I'm sure she'll be thrilled, too - to see her work featured here. I definitely have to send her your link. Thank you so much again.
I love your blog. Keep up work!
    Best,
    Suzanne
