Yard Sale in Birmingham, Alabama and a Linky

If you live near Birmingham, Alabama, and you aren't busy this Saturday, come on over to Rhoda's!

We're having a yard sale together!

I'm bringing a trailer full of stuff to sell.

Stuff I found in various closets...

Benches with backs...

Benches without backs...

Gray-painted Headboard benches (that no longer have headboards attached to them!)

Dining room chairs...

...and mantel decor galore...

And we're bringing lots and lots and lots more furniture (dressers, chairs, tables, vanities, etc.) and home decor too!

(No, we're not moving- we just know which furniture pieces/items actually work in our house now that we've got the rooms set up the way we want them, and we have tons of left over pieces/items from projects we've worked on for HGTV.com over the past few months.)

So come on over if you're in the area!

And if you need directions- email Rhoda at rhoda12@bellsouth.net.

Now onto the Linky thing-a-ma-bob!

We wanna see what kinda stuff YOU scored at yard sales this Summer!

Never done the "linky thing" before?
No problem!
Here's how you do it...

- Create a descriptive name for your yard sale score in the “Name” field. This will make it easier for folks to browse through them.

- Make sure to link to your specific yard sale score post, not the main page of your blog.

- If you want to, link to this post from your post so that all your readers can join in on the fun too.

Thanks in advance for linkin' up!

  1. Hi Layla,
We don't actually have yard sales in the UK but I did manage to get a few things from a barn sale when we were visiting friends so have included these in your linky. Hope that's OK!

  23. I don't think I've ever wanted to live in Alabama more than I do this Saturday. (or ever, really). I so want that planked wall plaque in the top (?) picture. I've always adored those! Well, among other things! I love all of the stuff listed!

  24. I live in London so there's not that many yard sales, so I liked to my bed which I got second hand on Freecycle. So it was actually free! Woop woop.
    Love the site.

  27. Awww....hate I'm going to miss it, but don't hate that the reason is I'll be at PC Beach! Know of any good flea markets down that way. I started searching for some online a couple of nights ago and have some picked out to visit (in case of rain - or too much sun)! Hope y'all have fun. Let me know if you don't sell out....I would love a shot at any leftovers!

  29. I have a question...maybe if you run out of things to blog about you could address this...Our design styles are very similar- very beachy, light and airy. My question is how do you incorporate "fall" decorating into this decor? I love the fall and the leaves and mums and pumpkins but it almost looks stupid in my house with the blues, greens, whites and shells! I am looking forward to your mantle display. I assume painting pumpkins white is one way but any other suggestions? I'm on the hunt!

    Your favorite fan...Kelly

  30. Have fun at your yard sale - I suspect you will be overrun with people looking give your wonderful things new homes.

If Alabama weren't such a long commute from Vancouver, Canada, then I would be there myself to try and pair up with that wonderful windsor style bench of yours!

  31. all the best with the yardsale. I need to start putting stuff aside for the next neighborhood sale this coming spring. Just missed sale season here now that it's rainy Seattle again.

  34. Hey friends!

We're looking forward to meeting you at the yard sale on Saturday!

We decided to have an "in-person" yard sale, instead of a "online" yard sale 'cuz we don't dig going to the post office AT ALL! :-)

Boxes, and tape, and driving up there, and standing in line there gives us the willies just thinkin' about it! LOL!

    I know.
    We're weird.
    :-)
