Mercury Glass Candleholders from TJ Maxx

Okay...after all the talk yesterday about the mercury glass candle holders I would LOVE to have for my mantle, I decided to make a trip to TJ Maxx JUST TO SEE if they were on sale.
Well, they were.
There were two there, and they had been marked down to $5.00 each because they were both broken around the top. I debated on whether or not I should get them, because after all they were damaged, and I really need four of them, not two.
After about 15 minutes of debating, I decided to get them. If anyone out there in Blogland would like to help keep an eye out for two more the next time they are in TJ Maxx- I would be thrilled to paypal you for them (plus shipping of course). :-)

Here they are, in all there chipped glory:

I'm thinking I can glue some greenery around the bottom of a candle to cover up the chipped parts of them.

The shorter one has the image of a snowman on it, and the taller one has the image of Santa or a nutcracker on it.

Let me know if you see these little guys and can help me out with my dilemna!
:-)

  3. Hi, Layla – I found Mercury glass candlesticks for as little as $7.20 each (if you buy 2 or more) at the link below. Checked shipping rates - $5 for two candlesticks to my zip code. Sounds like a good deal.

  10. I think they look great, chips and all! Sometimes I like things to be flawed, it gives something instant age and character. Glad you found them!

  12. I just bought two mercury glass candleholders at Kohls. They were either just like yours or very similar. They were regular $19.99 - 70% off, making them $6.00. Then I had a 15% off coupon, making them a little over $5.00. I am going back on Friday if you would like me to pick you up some. Let me know. I love your blog :-)

  13. These are darling candle holders. I absolutely love your burlap window treatments. I have been wanting to do some in my new home but I'm wondering where do you find burlap & long enough to make window treatments? Please help. I'm in love with these & the best part is how economical they are.

  18. They currently have some for larger candles at Pottery Barn on clearance for $7.99. They are really nice, but I think I got something exactly like them for my husband's boss last year, so we skipped on them and I could really go overboard on buying candle holders if I am not careful! But if you would like me to pick them up in the next day or two let me know what size and I can get them and ship them to you! Or call your local PB. I have had them tell me they are out of things around the holidays and go back a few days later and they have them again!

  20. Well, I feel like a worry-wart, over protective mother type BUT - please be careful about putting greenery so close to a candle flame. :)
