Me! Finally figured out when it was on, so I'll be watching and thinking that you would have been a far better candidate than any of them! Your dining room re-do of their room earlier in the week was so beautiful.
I DVR'd it and watching as we speak! ooooh! does anyone else get reallly nervous while watching? I don't know if I'm nervous for them or just nervous to see what's going to happen!
I just finished watching...wow! I was so worried when they were to the end and not getting things done perfectly and/or finished. Thank goodness there was a team to come in and fix the one kitchen. I was a bit shocked at who left. The one thing I have learned it they sometimes bite off more than they can chew. I think it is much harder than it looks.
CANT WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK...INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGE!!!
So wonderful - FINALLY. Will follow your tweets starting later on - I get a lot of junk tweets otherwise from who knows who - not design stars! Fingers crossed!
i love love your blog.....my style is a little different from yours but i always enjoy your work....you have the touch for designing and i truely enjoy everyroom you do...i would love to have you redo my home anytime....i really think the other girl should of left last night...they picked the wrong girl to cancel this time around...i am wondering when these designers will step it up too!!!
too funny! i did watch it and was thinking i should comment on your blog about watching it! kinda like we were watching together! what did you think? i was kinda shock about which one they picked to leave! i really hated that they didnt get it done! i really wanted to see the finish product! it was more my liking then the other! cant wait to see your thoughts!
I was disappointed that they didn't step it up a bit with this kitchen challenge, I really thought after what the judges had to say last week, they would have. I was also surprised that Amy left and not the other gal; I have not felt that either week she pulled her weight, but that is my own opinion. After all your designs, Layla, I can't understand "why" you were not chosen and hope you will try again.
seriously disappointing.. extremely boring kitchens! the one couple said they wanted something 'modern' and 'something i've never seen before' was what the hubby said... and they gave them a showroom kitchen from a home store!! what's new & exciting in kitchen design was not used by either team! what a bummer. :(
I didn't like either kitchen either, but it was sad that the one group didn't finish.
I thought they sent the wront one home too. Two weeks in a row she has failed miserably, and yet, she is still there?? I don't get it!
Lou Cinda :)
I also thought it interesting that Torie was one of the top designers last week yet she was the last one picked. She was also one of the top for this week.
You would have been a natural on last nights show after all the kitchen work you have done...I am so glad they send the "HGTV fix-it" crew b/c those kitchens were awful. Can't wait to see your mock up!
Okay Miss Layla, what did you think about the results? I could believe they caulked the granite seams. AAHHH!! Such a disaster! And hasn't anyone learned about the whole "tiling" thing? What in the world?
I really dislike the group challenges and prefer when they are working on their own. I think you see more of the creative side.
That said, both kitchens were pretty standard in my opinion. Not sure why they chose to replace cabinets instead of refurbishing them, yours are proof they can do a whole lot in that area. I love my refurbished cabinets. I think they see $$$ and just spend it.
Hey what do you think of who they eliminated? I thought it should have been Tashika. She had the easiest and funnest job-- accessories!!! and messed up.
I watched it only because my 7 year old was watching it (and she was mesmerized by it)! But yikes it was painful to see that poor girl sweatin it...good episode though!!
I have never been in that situation - but with that large of a team, you'd think they could have been more organized. I think the kitchens could have looked much better!
I'll be watching! Looks like it's going to be a good season.
ReplyDeleteMe! Finally figured out when it was on, so I'll be watching and thinking that you would have been a far better candidate than any of them! Your dining room re-do of their room earlier in the week was so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am addicted, and of course, now can't help but think, "Layla'd do that better."
ReplyDelete"OH MY GAWD". I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure which I enjoy more; the show or the design you create for the challengeafter the show.
Gotta LOVE both!
Luckily I DVR the shows and watch them again..and again.
Enjoy. Geri.
I have the DVR set. . . .I can't stand all the commercials!
ReplyDeleteI DVR'd it and watching as we speak! ooooh! does anyone else get reallly nervous while watching? I don't know if I'm nervous for them or just nervous to see what's going to happen!

ReplyDeleteDarn it - I completely forgot! That's what I get for reading I guess. You'll just have to fill me in.
ReplyDeleteI was a little dissapointed...nothing really GREAT on there...hopefully the contestants will step up a little more.
ReplyDeleteNOT impressed with last nights work - are you planning to add your "touch"? Have to admit I was wondering what you would've done! :)

ReplyDeleteAm I wrong, or were these 2 of the worst kitchens in Design Star history? I mean, they're always bad, but last night's were REALLY BAD.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to watch it on my DVR. Love that show!

ReplyDeleteIt's the morning after your question....and yes, I will be watching all season.
ReplyDeleteI just don't see great talent or a "TV host" personality in any of them yet...do you?
I SO think YOU should have made it all the way! You would have been PERFECT for this show and very fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteI didn't like either kitchen either, but it was sad that the one group didn't finish.

Darn I missed it - will have to catch the repeat.
ReplyDeleteI was so surprised with who went home. Were you? The whole episode made me nervous!

ReplyDeleteI sure am missing something here and need to get back on track with HGTV!
ReplyDeleteWell done, Layla. Fingers still crossed!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you're not on the show! What the heck! Your designs are fab!
