In an effort to get caught up, I've got my consultation service on hold. I plan on re-activating the button in my sidebar, and taking new clients, by mid-August. I'm working from dawn til dusk, every day, to create refreshing, stylish designs for everyone who has hired me. And even though I'm up to my eyeballs in design dilemmas, I'm lovin' every minute of it! It is such a joy to be welcomed into so many friendly homes.

Great suggestions. I love ideas that only involve little bits of changes but look like you did a ton. Like your kitchen (not discounting your time and energy) no new cabinets, but a totally new look.
ReplyDeleteExcellent job at her house!!!!
ReplyDeleteCleaner lines and feel.
Wishing you a Tremendous Thursday!
I love what you did and it seems they did too! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI just watched the first episode of design star and my hubby was in the room. Then I showed him your take on the room....."oh, that's so much nicer!" he said.
ReplyDeleteWe love your room! The guys design is a little too edge for us.
I love your ideas. I am so waiting for you to start back up in mid-August. I am anxiously waiting to have you help me with my house.

Hi Layla- I've never commented before but have been following for a long time. I am so glad to hear your consultations are coming back! I asked my husband for one for my birthday! And when I went to order it I saw they were on hold. I am excited now. Love your work.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Layla! I love her Kim Parker canvas - makes me miss mine a bit but *le sigh*, it no longer worked. She did a really good carrying out your design plan!
ReplyDeleteHi Layla - I'm so glad your swamped with work! You will be making the world a prettier place, one room at a time. I began posting before and after shots of the addition my husband and I just built yesterday. They will run (except Sunday) through the middle of next week. It was 1200 square feet - it takes time. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Layla,
ReplyDeleteI just visited the Ratzlaff blog. I love how you can take a nice room and make it even nicer!
I've been watching for your consultations to be back up. Love your work!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for your consultations to come back! That is such a great option for people who don't have access to another designer in the area, that they love their work! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteYeah!! I keep checking back to see when your design services aren't on hold! You're super talented and I cant' wait to get your input on our space!!
ReplyDeleteI love your stuff. I'm so design- challenged it's terrible. Well done!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're enjoying what you're doing because it's so clear that you're excellent at it! I may need my own consultation... how much for an entire house? lol
just kidding
I checked it out, and love your suggestions!! You are clearly a talented girl!!!!! I love the green pattern against the blue in your first design. love it.
ReplyDeleteI love a good before and after! I just wish people would send in more of their after pics of your designs! (hint, hint)

ReplyDeleteLayla,
ReplyDeleteI loved the layout and what you did with that room. I have a question on where you can find chairs like you are suggesting or at least what the style is called. I love the clean lines but when I google chairs I see a zillion different kids but they're predominantly BULKY. Know where I can find some similar to what you are recommending? I've looked under living room, office chairs, etc. Are they kitchen chairs? Please help!
Thanks,
Julie
Layla,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through U-create and I am loving your site. I love your design style! I am really curious about your consultations. Can you tell me how this works?
