Not really, but you know what I mean.
Check this one out.
The ad reads-
"Beautifully restored, large open floor plan apartment on second floor and loft like studio on first floor. Perfect live/work space for artist, musician or antiques dealer."
It's an old Firehouse, built in 1925, and it's located in Richmondville, NY.
It's on the market for $295,000.
Here is the upstairs apartment:
And here is the studio space on the first floor:
What would YOU do with this space?

:-o! So cool!
I am in love with that shower and tub.
I'd be tempted to keep the interior very industrial and rustic. It's wonderful.
What a fantastic house!! I do a lot of patchwork and quilting and that studio would be a dream space!
soap studio! I can see loads of black wire shelving units on big caster wheels holding hundreds and hundreds of bars of my olive oil soaps and other goodies. I would hold open houses on the weekends for people to come stock up on their favorite scents. (all while sipping on some wine of course)
What a fun house, I think if I was on the market I would swoop this up in a heart beat...so much fun..to mix and match vintage, industrial and new...I just melted. I would make that space into a craft studio and also a place for a my little guy to play...so when I feel creative we can both go down and have some fun together and I know right where he is and what he is doing at all times!
Ahh, I think I want to move now!

Are you kidding me?! That cost less than my condo. I'll take it, please.
Wow. I want this. Plenty of space to have a studio.
have my photography studio there!!!
ohhhlaaalaaa!!
What a wonderful house.
I would use that space as my design studio.

I would scoop it up , what a bargain ? I would make the downstairs space a huge great room and put in a huge fireplace .
Oh, how amazing! What a great price, I'm not sure what I would do with it but I would LOVE to live there.
I would make it a huge dance floor so I could do a little jig over and over with all the excitement about owning that place!
Is that firehouse in Prattville?
That would be the perfect spot for a WhistleStop country store.
Ohhh... I love it!! I can just imagine decorating it for Christmas.
Since the apartment wouldn't be enough for me and my clan, I'd have to convert the entire first floor to living space :0)
hey...I just sent you some fire house pictures from my neck of the woods? I mailed the beer yesterday...should get it soon...sorry so late. been real busy!

I would buy it and open up a craft store on the first floor while I lived upstairs! Too bad it wasn't in Canada!
Does the dog in the picture come with the place? He's a cutie!
Love it all. Very clean lined.
It would be fun to have a little store/restaurant down there. I guess it depends on the amount of room.
How awesome is this place! A great antique store below would top it off....
:-)
Wow, I loveeee it!!! The kitchen is wonderful, the bathroom is seriously fabulous and I love the headboard!! What a cozy place! I looked around at your blog, I'm sure you know this, but you are a very talented gal!!! I can't wait to see the finished pics of what your designing now ;) LA
The top floor would be great for hubby and I and we could convert the lower floor into living space so his dad could come and live with us.
Great, great place.
How cute is that!!!!!!!!!
M ^..^
I want to live there!
what a gem!!! That one is worth dreaming of. I have 6 kids and couldn't wait to finally live in a home big enough to fit all 8 of us comfortably, now that I do I dream of the kids going off to college, getting married and me and my husband being able to live in a cozy little place, just like the "Firehouse".........LOVE IT.
oh the gears in my head are just racing. How great of a place this is. I would use it just like it is--studio on bottom floor, living on top. fabulous
Oh, I love it! A boutique-y home decor store on the first floor, and live above. Heaven!
