When deciding what my first Ideabook should be themed around, I thought about the room that tends to get more traffic this time of year than ever. The kitchen.
At Christmastime, there's nothing like an inspired atmosphere, a warm stove, a simmering pot and the sounds of the season while you bake and cook!

PS...Tomorrows post is about our $5.00 Christmas tree and a handful of other beautiful, budget-friendly Christmas craft ideas I had fun creating this year- so if haven't already decorated, can't stop decorating, or don't think you can afford to decorate this year- make sure you check out tomorrows post. Congrats on your recent appointment -- Layla's in the Houzz!
Great suggestions and photographs! I especially like the floating shelf and transom ideas.
Can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve... :)
And hey, Congrats!

Layla... You and Kevin certainly have had an exciting 2009. I am so looking forward to seeing what's to come in 2010! PS Your bathroom is looking A-Maz-Ing. My mom called me yesterday just to say... "Did you see TLC's bathroom tile backsplash!?!" We love following all of the great things you guys do. Keep it up!
