Cute video and he will laugh years from now cause really, that's the cleanest messy closet I have ever seen. : )

Very cute video! I don't think that it was that bad! It's ok Kevin, everyone has one of those "spot" where things just seem to gather! :) Can't wait to see the finished project!

I think I need to send you a picture of my closet. Yours looks great compared to ours! :)

I've seen wayyy worse! Cleaning a closet is not an easy job, but sometimes you can be rewarded with some pretty cool stuff you might have forgotten about. You made it look easy:) Can't wait for the master bedroom reveal!!

Yep. Mine looks like that, only worse. My closet door is on a runner which is currently broken, so it doesn't close. Eek!

You guys are too dang cute!!!

Can't wait to see the master bedroom all finished! So fun!!

I've seen WAY worse...in my...erm...okay in my own bedroom. I eventually cleaned it completely out, painted and even decorated it (yes really!) but it still occasionally looks like that.
I wouldn't even say that was messy. Maybe slightly untidy because things weren't stacked perfectly straight. It's okay Kevin. *pity pat*

Well Layla and Kev.
You are right.
In forty years from now you will laugh...thinking that was a mess.
Lordy, that was kinda neat looking, maybe even organized.
Your home is so used to having decorating order and a calm beauty that it makes me gigle to think that the closet is a disaster to you. Too cute.
If you ever get to visit, I recommend no under the bed peeking or closet opening. hehe
Can't wait to see the floor you have chosen. geri.

while I was waiting for you to open that cabinet, my mind wonders if you do keep messy spots in your house, well from the look of it, I don't think you do,that wasn't messy at all.

Love all your works and your funny stuff too. cute!

You are TOO CUTE. And, umm, your closet is nothing compared to some of my messy areas. Believe me, you ain't seen nothin'. But thanks for sharing one of your less than perfect areas in your house, it's somehow encouraging. And I can't wait to see the transformation!!

Nice to see your still trying to keep things real! That's nice to see!

Hmmm. Maybe if you get rid of the other 80% of your stuff (yeah right, I know I couldn't), you could turn your second closet into a reading nook like I did for my son:

I'm waiting on pins and needles to see your Master Bedroom transformation. Ours needs a makeover too!

Darling video!! I love the "magic" of the messy closet gone clean...how'd you do that?!
It has been my dream to have a walk-in closet someday....I will probably collapse and cry the first time I walk into it, LOL! :)
Can't WAIT to see what you do with this room!

Layla,

I agree with the comments above, it's not that bad. I once needed to wear a miners helmet, tie a rope around my waist and was gone an entire weekend cleaning a closet. I found a cat we thought we lost two years earlier.
:/

Love watching you 'do'!

Your Friend,
Deborah

Hello! I'm a new blogger jumping on board with renovations on our new (old!) 1952 ranch. I actually just posted today about how we downsized to a smaller bedroom and closets. As I said in my post, it feels great to pare down unnecessary clothing and other junk... not to mention Goodwill loved our donations!! :)

Simplifying is good for the soul!

Drop by my blog when you get a chance! It's new but I've got a lot to share! And thankfully lots of good inspiration from great bloggers like you!

PS. I am heading to Tybee Island this weekend! I'll try and drive by your recent project!

I cannot wait to see the finished project! I am dying to get closet organizers in our master closet (and all the other closets for that matter)! Of course what the hubby wants could easily cost us hundreds! So, I anxiously await your results!!!! And hey, maybe while all that cleaning happens you'll find clothes you can get rid of...all to make space for some new things =)!!!!

Ann said...

I hope you are going to show how to install the closet shelves and organizers because I need to do that in our closets. Thanks for making all this stuff fun.
