Beach House Bunk Room

One of my readers (from Florida) sent me these wonderful photos of the Bunk Room she had built into her beach house back in 1996.

It is just precious.
I love the polka-dot bedding, the rope-covered ladder rungs, the boat-docking cleats used as hardware, and the beadboard-clad walls.

Thank you Karin!

Those are adorable. I usually hate bunk beds but these are actually really cute. Thanks for sharing them.

That's a great room! So sweet and a theme that doesn't get AT ALL obnoxious. I was hoping to do a beachy/ocean theme in the kids' bathroom and want to accomplish the same type of effect. Thank for posting and thanks reader Karin for sharing.

Oh I love that room. It's so airy and crisp feeling. Like you wouldn't have a care in the world!

what a great bunk room! i love them, too! i used to live in the florida panhandle, and most of the homes in seaside, watercolor and rosemary beach have bunk rooms....a really great use of space, and they can be decorated so wonderfully!

It's obviously stood the test of time, 10+ years and still looking great. It's a nice alternative to the standard bunks.
