Washington Post, April 9th, 2009

Yippee! I was thrilled to learn that our blog was mentioned in the Washington Post on February 26th, 2009....

...and again this past week. Woo hoo!

Writing this blog has quickly become one of my favorite hobbies. I thoroughly enjoy reading through each and every comment that is left for us. I can't tell you how many times I've jumped up from this seat and ran across the house (smiling the whole way), just to tell Kevin what one of you has written. :-) It's a strange thing...feeling like you have the greatest friends in the world, yet you don't even know what they look like!

Terri Sapienza, if you're reading this- THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Congrats, you totally deserve it! Love all of your work! I saw your bathroom makeover at my site, www.decorpad.com, and I was blown away by your ideas and skills. Your room makeovers are fantastic and the prices are so fair and reasonable!

That's great, your work is definitely worth mentioning nation wide. I have a question about the amazing makeover on your fireplace. Can you still have a fire in it now that the firebox is gone?

The world just keeps getting smaller. We went to college with Terri enjoying all her insights at the Post and I found your site through the Pioneer woman who is from my mom's hometown. I am surrounded by such talented woman.

Congratulations Layla! You are so talented, you absolutely deserve it!

And I am so flattered by what you wrote- thank you so much for commenting on my photo blog! How in the world did you even find it!?! You should have seen me run to my husband and tell him: "Honey! This big deal interior design blogger commented on my photography blog! She said my work is stunning!!!" You made my whole day. Sincerly. And I'm really excited to look through your blog, you have the best taste, can't wait to soak it all in. Thanks again! (Oh and those shell boxes by your mom are divine! I love them!)
