Shabby Chic Double-Wide Trailer

This double-wide mobile home belongs to Theresa and Craig Smith. It was originally featured in Country Living.
The Smiths own an antiques business and travel throughout most of the year, buying and selling at antique shows around the country.
They have decorated their mobile home with things they've purchased on their travels.
Their 2,016-square-foot home is full of salvaged materials and antiques, and is simply divine. SO hard to believe this is a mobile home. Proves that HOME is what you make it!

Everything is so beautifully time-worn, and makes me think of salty air, sand and sunshine. I am definitely inspired by a few things in these photos and can't wait to implement them into the Lettered Cottage!

One of our favorite all time listings was a triple wide on the most beautiful piece of land you've ever laid your eyes on.

The kitchen was huge, and the whole place was decorated so beautifully.

Changed my thought process completely when I hear the word "mobile home".

Sooooooooo very true what you said about home is what you make it. Living overseas, we've had some rather interesting living situations but I'm always amazed by what some paint and the right accesories can do to spice things up.
I know I've said it before...but I love your blog!

Wonderful photos. I never would have dreamed a mobile home could look like this! It's truly full of beautiful character.

Looking forward to seeing what ideas have inspired you and what you do with them in your home.

Wow, that IS remarkable. Both the size of the place and their ability to pick beautiful, harmonious pieces.

oh my, I love that hutch! I can't get over that it is a mobile home. I have always told my Mr. that I would rather live in a mobile home and not be swamped in debt than live in a mansion and can't afford it. Home is what you make it and whom you share it with.

Hey! maybe you could make a lettered sign thingy with my quote:

Home is what you make it and whom you share it with!

That was pretty good if I do say so! =)

Oh, I SO agree. You can make any place a show place and home. It just takes love.

What gorgeous stuff! HEY! She stole my headboard! Ha.. not really but it's pretty close!

Have to say, the doll heads creep me out. But such wonderful architectual pieces throughout.

Oh my goodness! I love this post...I would live in a trailer if it could look that good! Thx for the post! I wanted to ask if you painted that sign on your header that says Lettered Cottage...a journal of a girl.....I love it...I need something in that manner for my Old Saloon Gameroom....

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the light airy feel of the deocor! Some daring decisions with the items on the walls, that some of us would be afraid to try. Your home is beautiful!
