Vintage Columbia Kitchen Scale

I saw this little scale up for bids on Ebay today.

Is anybody else as intrigued with it as I am?

Geez, I used to have one of those (and in much better condition) and threw it in the dump somewhere along the way. Of course, I am WAY older than you are, Layla, but I can remember when most homes had one of those hanging around.

I think I had two of those at one point. Different styles though. Garage Sales, Garage Sales, Garage Sales. Hugs from Maine

Wow I love that. I always shop for old vintage coffee tins. Love them. My kitchen is done with hints of antiques and my collection of coffee tins are my passion!

I had one for years, and gave it to a friend when we made our last move~

Gorgeous! My very best friend has one that she uses for her photography business. She takes pictuers of brand new babies laying on it! So cute!!

I used to have one, too, in the country wooden duck days of my decorating drama. But I think you could use one in today's styles, too.

I would love to have it above my cabinets. I have recently redone them in an antique white with a chocolate glaze. That would be beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

OH yes, I could see it on my counter holding a bowl full of artichokes, or green apples!

I actually have one that I use when canning tomatoes. The canning recipe calls for "pounds" of tomatoes. This scale is superb. Blessings, Susan

I just picked up one very close to this today at a garage sale for $4. I seen it and knew I had to have it. Don't know where it is going or what I am doing with it, but it will be in the kitchen and it was a steal of a deal! Hope to see some ideas on here for it! Just found your blog and I LOVE your style! TFS!!
