Quick Closet Update

Well, we're in the home stretch as far as the master bedroom closets are concerned.

Here's a little video to prove it...

And as you can see, it also proves that I am one of the weirdest people you know.

But unless this is your first visit here, you already knew that.

Happy weekend friend!

Love,

Closet is looking great! We are about to start tackling our master closet as well! I found some Brushed Nickle at Walmart...works amazing for painting hinges. Also, Lowes has interior doors similar to what you already have for only $19.00. Can't wait to see the finished product!

You're not weird... you've just been exposed to a lot of paint fumes! Are you sure it was Kevin who primed/painted in this room?
Awesome job on the closets. Looking forward to seeing the final reveal.

Loving the difference in the floor direction...I would do that on purpose for sure! Pewter or Nickle spray for the hinges is at Home Depot also...we did that at our last place, looked great and no one could tell the difference, going to do it again in our condo for sure...(years ago I used car spray paint for our front door handle, just resprayed every few years, never did put a new one on, sold the house with it that way!)
Organized closets are the best, enjoy...

Wow~ it's coming along! I bet you will love having it so organized! More room to buy a new wardrobe, right? Hee! Empty space always gets filled somehow....
You guys are such teasers about what you're gonna do to those closet doors! I'm trying to guess.....but I'm drawing a blank! ;)

You are not weird!! The closets look great. And I like the way you put down the flooring. It looks really nice. Can't wait to see the rest of the bedroom. Love & blessings from NC!

What a great idea - I never even considered spraying the hinges on interior doors!

All of ours are brass and the door knobs are all brass and white (which is what we could afford at the time we had the doors installed.

Now we can afford to update the knobs but I have been putting it off as I thought I would have to try and find new hinges too. Now I'll try spraying them - thanks for the tip!!!

Wow, the closets look so good!

(I just found your blog yesterday and I'm addicted! I'm reading through the archives from the very end until the present. Up to January 2009 so far!)

If you are weird my dear than I want a pill to bring me to your level. You simply ooze with charm. The bedroom will be divine...I am now anxious to see your thoughts on the plain doors. Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Cheers~

Closet looks great! My husband just got done painting our scuzzy-looking old house closet. What a difference paint and some updated shelving makes! So I share your excitement for a finished closet! Can't wait to see how your room progresses.

The two of you totally fulfill my "design ideas" and "cuteness" quotas at the same time.

Agree with the above posters that you guys need your own show. I almost never watch videos on websites, but I watch yours.

I wanted to tell you that you can often find doors cheap at salvage type places. Our local Habitat for Humanity store caries them and so does another salvage-type place. Not the official "architectural salvage" places--those are expensive. But the wharehouse type places.

Haha, I love watching your videos. They are so normal, fun, silly, entertaining... you two really work well together. I wish my husband was like yours a little more! At least when it comes to decorating/renovating.

Anyway, I'm excited to see the finished project!

Hey weirdo, ummm I mean Layla. :-)
You're such a TEASE...almost telling us what you're going to do to the doors and then stopping...not nice! lol The closets are looking good. I did ours when we moved into our house cause the people that lived here before us, took all the closet organizers with them. :-/ Who does that!? Oh well! Can't wait to see what you guys do next!
Love ya bunches

You guys are so funny! Those wire racks work like a charm...why the hate from that lady???

You guys are so cute. You obviously have a lot of fun together! Not that it matters, but I hate those wire closet shelves too. It's my experience that they don't support much weight, so it's a good thing you got rid of 80% of your clothes. :)

Unknown said...

I'm with Sherry, Katy, and co. - you DO need your own show! All in favor say "Aye"!

I do agree with jenny, however - in my experience too (and not fun ones, ps) - they won't support as much weight as I attempt to pile on. I hope it's not a sign to me to get rid of 80% of my clothes..

Unknown said...

Looking good!! :) You're a kook - and I love it!

Layla great job on the closets. Just a tip for some of your readers if you have a restore near you they sell that wire shelf stuff for 1.00 a piece helps keep costs down. Oh and they might have something in the way of closet doors for cheap as well.
