Timeless Settings

Howdy friend!

We're finally getting back into the swing of things around here (I don't know why, but it always takes us several days to "recover" after a road trip- is that weird?)

So while we get after a few projects in the master bedroom room- we thought we'd host a little giveaway today.

One of our sponsors, Donna, from Timeless-Settings.com let me pick out a goodie from her online shop to give to one lucky TLC reader.
(She's a real sweetheart that Donna!)

I love picking out gifts for friends, and I really hope you like what I decided on!

It's a hand-loomed "Paris" dishtowel...

It's 100% cotton, and the colorful Paris scene is silk screened in 12 colors and framed with embroidery.
The edges are bordered with hand dipped rick rack, and there are 3 colorful woven stripes down each side.
(PS- It actually comes packaged in an pretty organdy bag, so if you'd like to give it away as a gift, it's good to go!)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you'd like to enter the giveaway, swing by Timeless Settings (you'll love her necklaces too!) and then come back here and leave a comment on this post.

The giveaway will be open from today (Aug. 24, 2010) until noon (Central Time) on Friday, August 27th.

We'll announce the name of the winner sometime next week.

Good luck!

My "little peanut of a 7th grade son" Krew just started French in school. He is quite obsessed with France, and is bound and determined that he will visit many times throughout his life. I was just thinking a couple of days ago, that I would like to get him something French-like that is both unique and lovely for him to cherish. I think you know what I mean cute girl... take special care.

Alas with finances in dire straits
I knew a look would tempt my fate.
But Timeless Settings I had to peek
And found myself some little treats.

I say life is rich - the hell with money!
I'd rather have this taste of honey.
And now my budget now looks more bleak
The rent will have to go another week!

Love you and Kevin and thanks for always giving more to your followers than we could ever give to you. You both are awesome!

My romantic hubby surprised me with a trip to Paris in June for our tenth year wedding anniversary. It was a big (read: expensive) trip for us so we brought back many happy memories but no souvenirs. This would be a perfect decorative reminder of our trip.

This really caught my eye! I just finished sewing up a really sweet pillow from a similar tea towel that says "Great Lakes" and features a map of the Great Lakes area. As a past visitor to Paris, I would love to sew this one up and have a matched set. Clearly, my vacation destinations have become less exotic since I became a parent. Someday, I'll take my kids to Paris, but for now we mostly visit sites within a day's drive of our Illinois home.
